Logging into Administrator account without Administrator privileges

Filed under: Review, Security, Software, Windows XP No comment

Sometime back, I posted a way to reset or change Administrator’s password and use it as a way to login to Administrator’s account in Windows XP. That trick had two drawbacks, first you must have Administrator’s privileges to change password, and second the Administrator will know someone has accessed his account since the password will be changed.

The following method will allows you to access any local account including Administrator’s on any Windows 2000 or Windows XP machine. The best thing about this trick is that you don’t have to mess around with password. So, Administrator will never know that anyone else has accessed his account. The following tool will create a god like password which can be used to login to any account. The only thing you’ll need is a CD or DVD-ROM drive.

Even if I move songs to a separate disk, movies to another, and games to another and tried to find and delete duplicate files by myself, it would literally take months. Besides, it creates confusion to have several copies of the same file, taking the unnecessary disk space on your hard disk.

3D Desktop for Windows

Filed under: Review, Software, Windows Vista, Windows XP No comment

I found many 3D desktop but they were eating system resources like there’s no tomorrow (512MB RAM that’s too much). While looking for a cool 3D desktop which doesn’t hogs the system, I came across only one application, Manotate. The RAM usage for this application was under 10MB even when I had over 10 applications opened and set as 3D.

However, the problem was that it was written in Japanese. After some digging I was able to find an English version. It adds a small button to each application windows besides the minimize button. Instead of minimizing the application, it flips the window. Each window has a tab to tell you which it is.
